Oh my god you do *NOT* want a career with AEG. Trust me as someone who's seen the lives it's ruined.

What you should aspire to is a career that gives you lots of off time to ENJOY L5R.

Unfortunately, finding a career that will allow me to enjoy L5R seems to not exist, as almost anything available to me right now requires me to work weekends. I look into jobs that I feel I'd be good for and they all require previous experience in being a receptionist or some such shit, and I often wonder...How does one get that damn experience if no one will let them in to do so?

Interning, altho it doesn't pay, is a good place to get office experience. Working in a call center gives you receptionist experience, altho you're better than that.

Here's the thing, you're going to graduate (remember that part? :-) Once you have a degree, you can just go into "business". It's a large amorphous thing where you can work in any of thousands of businesses that have nothing to do with your degree. But the work, while boring, is safe, usually pays okay, and you get weekends off. Plus occasionally you get to beat the shit out of a copier while gangsta rap plays.

I was going to say this very exact same thing. Jon is smart.

I'll also respond to your question below E: Apply anyways and parlay your life experience into something that works for that job. "I don't have any actual experience being a professional receptionist but I'm a bigfuckingnerd and that means I can out computer you. Plus I have answered phones for (blah blah blah. Try public radio membership drives.) and am good at (this thing which ties into being a receptionist).

The game is easy if you look at it like one!
