Weekends, work, and WTF's
It's been awhile since I've updated without spamming my pics :P
So here we go...
Weekends
Finally, a mellow weekend of a little shopping with little man Ellery Blu, my beautiful blue eyed girl Amy, and house/home bound work. I work so much during the the main job work week, I love finally being home and having my vibe back in the house.
I know Amy was bored but payday isn't till this Saturday, and finally we should be over the hump.
Work
Sometimes I wonder why I haven't gone completely mad, doing what I do. I have four projects ready to go out the door for final construction approval, and we have another four projects (just for me) ready to go. I thought being on the commercial side of the office (doing mostly small to large shopping centers, restaurants, and CVS' and/or Walgreens) was bad, but the residential is at a fervor. I'm currently working on 300 unit subdivisions to 300 unit townhomes design. I see nothing but hundreds of acres of land just dwindling away. They can't build them fast enough.
Work - side note on environmentalism
So this morning someone I work will (very conservative) reads on saving and preserving our water supply via a local water management district SWFWMD or Swift-mud. this person makes mention of joining a local environmental group (i thought for a republican....isn't that ironic). I forward over the Sierra Club home page.
Other co-workers start piping up on how the Sierra Club is funded by communists, even the ACLU....The Sierra Club is about as crazy as PETA...etc.
My mouth hit the floor. And I'm the crazy conspiracy theorist? Something about a kettle and the color black comes to mind.
WTF's
So I received this CRAZY aweful spam from a some idiot smashing on Malice etc. I guess that everyone on her list got these crazy spams. Obviously they were quickly deleted and banned from my journal. Fuckers. Don't get into my journal with drama.
What about photos?
I'm slowly getting the final rolls (huh yeah I still use film) done and should have them ready by this weekend. I've got to get an email out to the girls and give them and update as to when they will receive the scanned contact sheets to choose from. I have got to go digital. When Amy and I were talking about it, she says "you're doing another studio shoot this weekend?" I'm like yes but I'll be using the studio's digital (Nikon - *shudders*). Instead of 100 bucks for the space, 70 bucks on film and 50 bucks on processing (Yes people, this shit costs me) it will only be for the studio rental, plus my turn around time will be within a week instead of a month. If I go digital, I can still use the lens I do have, i just need to invest in the body; oh Canon of course :P.
*Sigh* If only to get more paying gigs to at least match my cost. I don't mind doing TFP/CD but I can't keep doing it forever. I would like to get more MUA's involved but again, gotta pay them something sometimes. I can't keep getting DeAnna to work TFP as well.
Maybe one day (not wedding related)....
