the only feminists you're ever going to hear anything from is the obnoxious over-the-top ones, because the "normal" ones just see and treat women and men as equals and have that be the end of it.

It's kind of like vegetarians. There's a lot of asshole vegetarians you're going to meet who yell at you for eating meat. then there's ones who just go about their non-meat-eating business. Ooh Oh it's also like Christians! there are a lot of fucking asshole christians who are all up in your face like OMG WTF UR SO GOING TO HELL!!! and then there's some people who just think Jesus is neat and don't bug you about it.

I could not agree more, you are totally right. That's like the sum up off all of that stuff, the vocal people always give it a bad name, whatever "it" is.

Well, considering the subject matter of the book, yeah I may have found it odd. But the book has a specific feminist viewpoint, which has nothing to do with the class, which is the only reason I find it sorta' annoying.

I want to bone this chick who I was helping with an essay last night for four hours.

I feel like there was something else I wanted to say related to that and your post. Oh yeah, I remember. Her class is called "American Studies" but it should be called "faggot studies" lol am i rite? Seriously though, this isn't a book about US History or how we came up with our system of government or any of the great social movements that have defined this country over it's lifetime... it's a class about how capitalism is immoral and evil, socialism is so much better, and every essay question must be examined through the lens of women, gays and/or environmentalists.

Point being: Welcome to the university. I am so glad you have noticed this disgusting bias in our "education" and are as frustrated with it as I am. I now have a huge boner for you.

And for that girl who I was helping.

Book, class, same thing in my sentences!

I just can't get over how "white American male" is no longer a valid way to look at things anymore.
