Pre-UFFD fic! Whoo!

In trying to break Joe's writer's block, I came up with an idea that I really like for my own use. But, I want the parts posted on UFFD to be the dramatic things where stuff happens so the first chapter is going to be posted now.

Nice teaser.

He sauntered to the window, and looked outside to the four tires of his truck strewn across the brown grass. From the couch, a shirtless Billy groaned and rolled over onto the empty beer bottles.

Tim Riggins very rarely looked forward to anything in his life. A good beer, a good date, and now riding to camp with Jason, which at the time seemed certain.

I really liked this picture of Tim's life and how sadness just seems to ooze out of him. Looking forward to more.

I struggled with making Tim's situation fit with the title, so I'm glad someone liked it. There will be more sadness from him, and everyone.
