Emma Elliott was born yesterday at 11am in Glasgow.

This means I have a half-sister on my Dad's side. All things considered, especially how close her birthday is to my brother's, is a bit... worrying? Kinda, but not quite. I don't know the best word to describe it, so I'll probably get back to that in another day's post.

I had an accident in the car on Tuesday.

Readers will be familiar with my journey to and from work -- mainly the bit about it being a long and winding road. Also narrow. It was on one of these narrow bits that I collided with another car. In the North of England there is a village called Seathwaite. Not so long ago, it was officially the wettest place in the country, and it's about six miles South of Keswick. Given the current weather in England, you'd expect Seathwaite and Keswick to be Atlantis-esque.

Funny how things work out.

Flashback to maybe a month ago. Work was ok, but not great. My hours were fluctuating between too many days off to pay the bills and too little time off to spend the money, but the atmosphere was better than it has been. What a tediously long week. Today and tomorrow are my 'weekend', and I would love to spend most of it asleep and/or doing very little, but that's just gonna be impossible.

The mission to Manchester in December seems to be getting organised pretty well so far. Tickets for the gig were £35 each, and have arrived. Train tickets from Penrith to Manchester are only £8 each way, which is dirt cheap. Everyone who's going has the Friday and Saturday off so there's no mucking about with driving back and forth in one night.
