I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore, Toto.

Or anywhere in the United States, as far as I know.

So if not Kansas, then where am I? I don't think I was offered this as a paid vacation. Didn't even get a brochure.

Just great. And Ashley's nowhere in sight. Where did she go...?Huh. Am I the kidnapped one now? Sorry, but being the damsel in ( Read more... )

This place is called Template. And as far as anyone knows, there's no way to get out - voluntarily, that is. Or else, I'm sure a good number of us wouldn't be here right now.

Template? Well, isn't that an inspiring name.

Why's that? Is the place barricaded? Though that wouldn't make sense, if I ended up here.

[shakes his head.] If you try to walk too far from the city, eventually you'll end up being overcome by unexplainable dread that will force you to turn back. It doesn't sound possible, I know, but you'll learn that this place doesn't exactly follow logic either.

Plus, it's probably likely that this city isn't anywhere near where you need to be, even if you did get far enough.

"Unexplainable dread", huh? Certainly sounds reassuring.

Who are you? You seem to know quite a bit, I'm guessing?

[say actually in the church sitting around waiting for his girlfriend to appear and stare at Leon :|]

No one wants you here either. Except this city. Geez, it's going way out of its way to piss me off.

[stares back] Then Hell hath no fury like a city scorned, I suppose. I didn't want me here either. Far as I know, I should be at home having a nice steak.

Though it seems someone thought differently.

I'm sure you've already been told that there is no known way out. I'm sorry. But despite the few events that go on around here it's not really that bad.

You're from the United States?

Maybe not, but I'm afraid I have prior engagements to attend to and I'd hate to disappoint.

Born and raised. You too?

I know how you feel... I think there are quite a number of us that wish to go back to our worlds.

I'm from Japan, actually. My name is Yamagishi Fuuka...and you are?

"Worlds"? You make it sound like we're in outer space or something.

Leon Kennedy. You can just call me "Leon" though.

[OOC: Fuck YES, you are the best app ever. *A* Sorry I'm late to the party, but have a chick carrying a sword /o/]

Another one... How unfortunate. I'm sorry to say, but you have just arrived in a place you'll be calling "home" for a while, whether you want to or not.

It is a situation we are all in, though. Perhaps "unfortunate" is a bit too lightly used in this case.

(ooc: smfnsaklfmslaf thank you *_*. And it's okay, but yay for chicks with swords /o/)

Heh. I wanted a vacation once I actually got home, but I can't say I anticipated this in the master scheme of things.

"Unfortunate" does seem like a bit of an understatement.

Not many do, sadly. You'll find many an unexpected thing in this place.

Where IS your home, though, if I may ask?

The United States, if you've heard of it. Since it seems there are some who haven't.
