We had been pelting the food-shaped plastic toys and yarn back and forth for a good 3 minutes. The two-year-old was playing Benedict Arnold when I came up with a new strategy. I placed the plastic disk representing macaroni and cheese inside of the disk representing a bowl. "Here, a peace offering," I handed the representative meal over, "I made you some mac and cheese"
The arch nemesis took the bait, "aww, thank you..."
"Yeah," I picked up a disk of orange coins and readied the muscles in my right arm "I also made you some..." the toy beamed through the air in slow motion, "CARROTS!" and connected directly with the villain's eye.
I spent the night at Gib's. Neither of the jones kids could be found so it was just the two of us, and her sisters. We got some OC watching done, and some serious sleeping.
