I woke up just after 7am this morning to BIG snow flakes falling down outside the windows. I know they mentioned on the weather report yesterday morning that we might get some snow, but this...! Wow! Here I sit, eating home made scones straight out of the oven, with butter and cheese melting deliciously on top, while drinking some nasty tasting (and smelling) tea my friend brought over to me a couple of weeks ago. My mom passed away late Sunday night. The nursing home called to let me know she was very weak, and I didn't hardly have time to get out of bed before they called again to tell me she was gone. It was very sudden, though she was very weak. They had given her morphine, but the nurse said she just closed her eyes, fell asleep and was gone. Very ( Read more... )

The rain kept falling later on yesterday evening and all through the night. This morning started out with just a little bit of sun, but even some clouds. Now, it's raining again. Cats and dogs. I don't think I'll ever understand our Swedish summers anymore.

Yep, that's what it has been doing twice today. I don't mind rain. It can be very soothing and I love to hear it tap on the window sill. The only complaint I have, is that I wish it would clear up the humidity and become cool and nice. So far, nothing. It's still clammy and I had to bring out the good old floor fan a few days ago.
