LJ is reminding me that my birthday is less than a month away. I CAN'T DEAL WITH THAT KIND OF PRESSURE, OKAY.
With any luck, the simultaneous release of the iPad will distract most of my RL friends from remembering. I'm thinking of removing my birthdate from my Facebook until the day after. I'm torn between wanting my friends to forget my birthday so they don't try and make me ~celebrate~, and the chance that my friends might get me presents. Presents like money. Or something I/we need. I dunno.
Oh! Oh! Quick story time?
Really? Sweet.
So, I'm at the dentist getting my -three- cavities filled. The nurse(?) helping the dentist had to shuffle off to do something else for a moment, leaving the dentist (let's call him Dr. K) and me waiting.
Dr. K is old as dirt and funny as hell (if you dig old-school comedy) and tends to ramble a bit. I'm just chillin', listening to him go on - as I have a metal brace thing in my mouth that makes it rather hard to talk. I can't really remember the story he was telling, but he ends it with, "so it was easy." Then, he looks at me and asks, jokingly, "Are you easy?" The nurses usually stop him from making jokes like that, but....
Anyway, without giving it much thought, I respond with this (the hand gesture):
He burst out laughing and said, "You're supposed to say "no!".
After he stops laughing, he says, "Don't worry, I won't tell your mother."
Making the funny ones laugh is always an accomplishment in my book.
Bonus!Kitty:
Taken today. He hijacked my chair.
