Untitled practise ficlet, in which the world's fast, and Bart's patient, and Cassie's having a hard time dealing.

Cassie's talking to him, speaking fast. Well, maybe her normal speed, but it sounds faster, higher.

That's pretty much my reaction to most recently-written Bartfic. It's kind of like my Pavlovian urge to offer a hug whenever I see or hear the name 'Tim'. :D

The way you write Bart is just *precious*. The awkwardness of their interaction is just beautiful, and sad.

Thanks, :). I have a not-so-secret love for Bart's interacting with anyone female teammate. He's such a sweetheart, and although he might not think as deeply as certain of his teammates, he seems much more--emotionally aware, I guess? At least as Impulse & Kid Flash, he had a better understanding of himself than most superheroes can boast, and he was so willing to show his friends how he felt about them. And if there's anything that the superhero community needs....

But Bart can come out of anything and still be all right, right? I mean, he's Bart! And the Flash family isn't contractually obligated to work the lonely vampyre paine angle like certain other DC families. :D
