Man, what is with that radiation? Peter Parker gets super-powers, and MJ gets cancer? I thought the whole concept of Spider-Man's origin required that we forget that radiation is more likely to harm you than to enhance your perceptions & abilities. Now I'm supposed to believe, what, that a lot of radiation is awesome, but small second-hand doses

I loved that people actually don't like Cottle for being such a bedside asshole and would go for Roberts simply because he seems more likable and less old - but then, I'm one of the few people who thinks House should probably have gotten sued off his ass by now, show logic be damned.
But I think Adama didn't listen because he didn't really understand what was going on - and because like it or not, Adama's greatest strength and greatest weakness is that he is military to the core and is capable of shutting his heart off in service to the greater machine of the corps and the government.
Helo punching Tigh is going to go down as one of my all-time favorite moments of this season, I have no doubt. Mostly because Tigh earned that punch. I love Saul, but he's a true superior asshole.

Yeah, the whole police guy storyline in House lost me, because I'd been assuming all along that House gets sued all the time, and we only rarely see it because it really doesn't register for him. I mean, wasn't there a mention somewhere that despite the fact that he's a brilliant doctor, he's also so much of a liability that Cuddy's the only one who'd hire him? They don't really have the luxury of firing assholes on Galactica - although I hope that they're finding some way of training young doctors somewhere on the ships - but it's cool to see people go out of their way to avoid an unpleasant doctor, no matter how good his record might be ( ... )

I'm pretty sure there was some mention of that somewhere in there, but I was never a regular watcher to begin with, and now I just don't care. Hugh Laurie's presence or no, I just can't get into it.
Also, Dee's comments about him being nearsighted - I wonder if his lack of bedside manner combined with the shit conditions of New Caprica life have created a perception of Cottle among the crew as being kind of craftless or handicapped when it was really just paucity of resources?
Yeah, but I think that despite what happened with Baltar, the decision to not steal the election was the right one - there are some roads that if you go down them even once, it's hard to go back, and in politics, especially. Look at how Roslin's hard choices have shaped her into what she is now versus who she used to be. That's the thing about Adama's choices, even the ones in this episode - in a lot of ways they are the right choice, ( ... )
