I set up the rest of the apartment networking today; now the Sidhe and I both have fully-fledged workstations and laptops from which to do our dark work. Incidentally, the WAP's SSID is TARDIS. This new set-up is already infinitely better. I am beginning to write again at long last, and I have access to all my files, too

Of course, now I'm insanely jealous of her workstation, which has a classy Ubuntu installation instead of the crufty Debian sludge that's still on ashtray. Time to get with the new flashy distros already...
