The Perseids are coming

So, this post is an attempt to organize an outing to see the Perseid meteor shower peak on August 12th. I have missed them for several years running, now, and I aim to fix it this year. If you are inclined to do something incredibly dorky and fun, either post below or send me an email (steven.f.killen on gmail) to indicate interest

Last year, I saw them on an island in a lake in Ontario, where a friend has a cottage. A tad misty (and cold), but still verrrry nice.

The mist can really bring out the fireballs, though, with all the reflected light. I remember the mist in the field when I watched the 2002 Leonids. WOW!
