What's a crewneck? I think if you put him in *that* top, then yes, he might look a bit gay ^^; But if crewneck is just a normal neck then nope, I don't think he'd look it at all. All boys wear sweaters! And the skull and crossbones is cute :D

I second the "crewneck would look ok for a little boy" sentiment.

Older/bigger boy dolls can handle the wide neck, but a younger one would look girlyish most likely.
