It was my extreme priviledge to have known, and walked picket lines with, at least one of the Old Wobblies. This was Walter Rogers, author of "John Donar, Common Man." It was in New Orleans, a bunch of us were picketting some (as I recall) damned oil company's corporate headquarters. Walter was there, a hardcore veteran of The Struggle all his life. Actually, Walter had to hurry off to the Mens' Room at one point, and gave me his sign to carry. It read "World War One Veteran For Peace." That was special, as I was 24 yrs. old at the time, and it was during the Veetdamn War! :)

There's a great group of Wobblies hereabouts in Detroit. Good people, and they bring the best food to all the functions! :^)
