I'm writing a novel, so...

Edit:  Oh shit the explanation would be nice, eh?  Here 'tis:
These are the top one-hundred-six books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing’s
users. Bold those you've read. Italicize those you started but couldn't, didn't or
haven't finished. Strike through those you despise. Put an asterisk next to those
you've read more than once. Underline ( Read more... )

i don't understand your list.

i want to understand your list.

i want your list to imply that dune is the greatest novel ever written as indicated by the bolding and excessive asterisk trailing.

See, I'm so cool, I planned ahead to build suspense. Now that you're intrigued, I've edited this post so that you can see what all the symbology means. And yes, you came to the correct conclusion.

There isn't a single book on there that you've started reading but haven't finished or that you haven't already read but want to?

Hi Jesse! I have read many, many of those books, but I don't know exactly what your list means. But, then, I'm stupid. Pray for me, man! Pray for me! I'm also pre- drunk. Hmphh. "Dune" is absolutely superb, as are the other Frank Herbert novels. Gaiman is superb, I love his stuff. But some things in his plots repeat, you know? It don't make me no never mind, I like him!

And! God, man. You gotta read Jared Diamond! A true polymath, and he says very astute stuff. I will say, though, that he is too optimistic about humanity's odds, just me sayin'.

P.S., Gaiman lives in my remote, rural home county! Small world, ain't it?

My friend, You Rock! :D
