Election Day has come and gone... I have a very love/hate relationship with primaries-- why bust your ass if only 10-15% of registered voters are going to come out in the first place? I get the feeling that being inside the system itself requires some very different perspectives. I think the definition of what makes "politician" has somewhat changed, and it's not a job I could ever see myself doing...Supporting a candidate is one thing, but doing the dance required to play the part would be a whole new thing entirely.

I hate primary elections. I'm a hard-core Dem. in an almost exclusively Repulican area. I've taken to picking up that little 'R' at primaries, just to try to screw with things. ;-) My way of stickin' it to the system!

I actually did that this time around myself... there was a particularly brutal Republican primary that I wanted to do my part to, um, win(?).

I just talked to Tom Hayhurst's office, actually, and I might be up in the greater Ft Wayne/Auburn area this summer quite a bit helping his campaign. I would be SO happy to see Souder lose this November.
