I've never been very comfortable talking on a cell phone while driving. A lot of that stems from the fact that my cousin Jessica was killed in a car accident years ago by a guy who was driving while talking on the phone (and who continued talking on the phone for some time after his car had crashed into hers). My ex-girlfriend used to text while driving. Prolly still does. Nothing like taking your eyes off the road and hands off the wheel simultaneously. Dangerous fun for you and all the cars in your path!
On a side note, I just wanted to say that I'm glad you're back. It's been awhile since you've been engaged on LJ, and I've missed your take on things.

But I don't think people take JUST DRIVING A CAR seriously enough, cellphones or not. It's only gotten worse over time and it's not just cellphones. People actually understand and know fewer of the laws now than we used to. It's pathetic. We are going around in deadly weapons and couldn't care less about how we're handling them. I'm already a paranoid freak about how I drive. I'm more distracted by people in the car than by people on the phone, I find.
