upside, downside

I have had one of those weeks/months/years that you look back on ten years later and just say "Damn, that sucked." So in the interest of not dwelling, I'm denying.

Hey it worked for Cheney.

OH, "Sweet Melissa." LOVE.

And I love it even more because, during the 60's, one of my coolest profs in art school was in a seminary studying to be an Episcopal priest, but then the Episcopal church decided they weren't going to let women be priests, so she quit school and became a roadie for The Allman Brothers Band. I don't actually think this song is about her, but her name is Melissa. *g*

That officially wins the award for most random career move EVER. One of my friends in college had this insane crush on a girl that ended up being the basis for an Edwin McCain song (the secret one). Regardless, the priest!roadie one totally wins.

*g* And then she went to art school, studying painting and photography, did her own art thing for awhile and then became a professor.

I think she's actually the dean of one of the art schools in town now. And when she told that story it had us all rolling, really - it's funny 'cause it's true.

Hello Chapel Hill. They played here all the time.

One day I will play Sex Bingo with local bands. I think I would win solely based on my friend E's bj skills.

It's always exciting to see the Athenaeum love! I already have LRC, but I snagged the Kane track, thanks for sharing that!

I'm pretty sure you shared LRC with me in the first place so I'm happy to share music back!
