HELP!

My custom banners were working perfectly, and now I've changed nothing, but my layout is all screwed and they're showing up as background! WTF?! HELP MEEEEEE!!!

ETA: Thanks to the amazing kunzite1 at component_help, my layout is fixed! *huge sigh of relief and much grumbling at stupid LJ*

Hm. You should friend lj_maintenance. There's always some update about what they're doing. I'm not sure why I did since I don't have a paid account do anything fancy with my LJ.

Yeah, I saw that, but it said that some people's code is not going to work anymore, and the thing is, I have no idea how to fix mine if that's the case. Ugh.

I looked at the LJ Support page, and a lot of people seem to be having the same problem, so hopefully they'll fix it. My layout is boring without it and I'm stylesheet clueless, so figuring out another way to do it is not an option.

I think I'm going to steal that icon later.

Bah! I'm sorry I can't help you with this as I'm equally clueless about this stuff (that's why I don't even bother, I'm so lazy.) So, I hope they fix it too and you won't have to do anything on your part.

Hmm.. that's bizarre! I wish I could help you, I have no idea about HTML things.

But I do remember going to someone's LJ recently and what looked like it should've been a header was a background, so maybe it's a LJ-wide screw up? :S

Yeah, it was (sort of) an HTML thing, and also (sort of) an LJ-wide thing. LJ fixed their CSS (which is sort of like HTML) so that it was a lot more strict, security-wise, and that messed up a lot of people's code. I have no idea how to write CSS (I barely have any HTML skillz), and I'd done my old layout by sheer trial and error, so I had no idea how to fix it until someone helped me out.

I can't even figure out how to load pictures onto Simagic right now. I feel very stupid. :-P
