Today, a horrible thing happened.
my beloved hamster, Penelope, of about 9 months died today
i found her underneath her wheel
flat on her stomach
asleep forever.

i feel so broken about this.
but i know she's in hamster heaven
eating all the sunflower seeds she wants.
i love you Nellypoo.

She is in hamster heaven! She is right by the gate to puppy heaven, where she can see my dog, and she can say, "Oh Lex, had a friend named Katie." And then Molly will say, "Katie had a friend named Lex. I never met Lex, seeing as I died the summer before Katie's eighth grade year, but nonetheless, I welcome you Penelope to animal heaven." Then they will eat together and rejoice!

Molly is such a cute name for a dog.
