OMG. I made the mistake of looking around at some random journals of HP fans. I can't believe the wank/ignorance/anger (pick your favorite)out there in the fandom. The theories that some people have are just so out there. I know that I have a few theories that most likely will be so far from what happens but at least they are based in the books

Funny how that is the instant reaction. See but I think we are all a bit to sane for the level of crazy theories out there. It scares me to think these people are out in the world functioning.

Heh, I saw one like that the other day, saying she didn't think of having Sirius related to Bellatrix until OotP. Because, yeah, it's not like coming from a Dark Arts family is a fundamental and central part of his personality or anything. *eyeroll*

We must have read the same one (I know many people are argueing this but I refuse to acknowledge more than one). An arguement for it was because Narcissa was blonde and not named for a star. I really don't understand some of these people. I know it is annoyihng when your theories are shot down but come on. JKR knows what she is doing and she has planned this all out for quite some time. I think she knows what she is doing in HER world.

The nutters like that drive me crazy too. They seem to think they could write the HP series better than JKR. I think they often forget that she created the characters they're so obsessed with; so instead of being assholes and saying nasty things about her, maybe they should just say 'thank- you' and get a life. [/rant]

That's why I don't look around LJ too much. The people o HP for Grownups drive me crazy enough. :D

Ever since the whole "you wrote it this way just to hurt us!" rantings of the Harmonians after HBP I've pretty much stopped being surprised by anything. Disgusted? Yes. Surprised? Not so much.
