Work sucks

I hate my class. I don't say this lightly. The return of one boy back to the school has destroyed the fine balance I had worked so hard to achieve. His presence had made several of my other students revert back to poor behaviour and this is just too much on top of his impulsive and rude behaviour. He has spat nearly every day that I have been there

That sounds really difficult. And other than a lack of funding/resources it's hard to even find someone to blame for a totally crap situation. It hard on you, the boy, the other kids. I'm sure his parents aren't having a picnic. It's only May so that's a long time to be counting down. I hope something improves. I'm sorry it sucks so much. :( Good on you for being great.

Thank you. I tried some other new approaches again today and it was an okay day. My fairy girl was subdued by the threat of the principal and I started another stamp chart for my new boy. It felt good to let all that negative energy out in yesterday's post too. Like lancing a boil. I'm sure it is still going to be a tough, but if stuff isn't working then I just need to try something else. It's all I can do.

Stamp charts are an alarmingly effective tool at times, even for year 10!

What are tertiary qualifications but more elaborate stamp charts for adults? I fall for it every time.

That sucks. There are some kids that are difficult but they respond to our efforts and we feel we're getting somewhere. Then there are others that are never any better, they just drift in, cause chaos, get suspended, repeat. It's frustrating for sure :(
