Neighbours

I have come to the conclusion that I would like to know my neighbours in a very distant way. I think that knowing their names and the general vibe is more than sufficient. The general feeling that they are not likely to be serial killers and that if my house was on fire I could run next door to use their phone. But that is the extent of what I want

This was so,etching I found extremely weird in the uk where back yard fences may be only waist high. No no no. And all the row storey houses overlook the back yard!

So I am not supposed to ask my neighbour to not sun his nether regions in the back yard? I guess I'll just keep averting my eyes and pretending I was never there.

At least you are polite. I suspect my neighbours may still attempt a conversation while I was out there naked!
