There is the book "Lovemarks" which talks about brands/branding that inspire an almost emotional sort of loyalty in consumers. Obviously the Nazis own the hatemarks.

I'd come out in hives if I had to touch that book. It has pleasingly withering reviews on Amazon.

Who is the lady in your icon?

Hee. I used to sell the book. It is awfully meta.

The lady is Julia Child.

Ah, I'm not so good on American cooks. I've only got as far as Betty Crocker.

Ha, I wish. I wouldn't have had any trouble steering Bryan on to more interesting subjects.

I don't have a problem with his admiration of the work of Speer and Riefenstahl, but calling his home studio the Führerbunker? Hmm. And I don't believe for a moment that he shops in M&S.

And there I was thinking how the Murco logo looked like an amoeba and always went by wondering if oil molecules resembled amoebae in any way (even though I realise I know this not to be the case).

But no, now it's bumhole for me.

Bumhole or amoeba - the choice is yours, as they used to say on Blind Date.
