There are 2 versions of three card monte. One of them includes a movement where you pick up two cards in the same hand, tossing out the top one when it looks like you're tossing out the bottom. It is, more or less, a straight game, except for the shill (accomplice) who disrupts things if you ever guess correctly.
The other one is called three card monte, but includes 4 cards. The same move is used, but one of the two cards is palmed. So while there are 4 cards, you only ever see 3. But when the cards stop moving, there IS no red card.
