To fix homesickness: keep a log of ridiculous occurrences that would never happen at home--ie dripping water on the subway--I'm smiling just picturing it-- plus you really don't want to be here -as in the US, as in Indiana, as in the suburbs. Did I ever tell you how impressed I am by you traveling by yourself in a foreign country--Something I will do soon enough--
