There's this phenomenon that always happens to me, and my brain keeps calling it Dickensian Syndrome, because I swear that's what I've heard it called AND I swear it was mentioned in a Charles Dickens novel, but now there is no mention of that to be found soooooooo....yeah ( Read more... )

I know exactly what you mean. On Mondays co-workers ask what I did over the weekend. My answer? Nothing. Laid on my sofa browsing the internet.

I have practically no motivation on weekends to do anything beyond what is absolutely necessary. ie, laundry, eat, sleep.

I've never heard it called that before, but that's what I've got too! Big time. It's very hard to make the last day of the weekend not feel like the weekend's funeral. I have had to train myself to not mourn the end of the weekend. Every Sunday I find myself in the same situation.

Today I just responded to my brain and reminded it that today is supposed to be relaxing. We don't have to do a lot of stuff. As my brain is reeling with WHAT MORE COULD WE DO TO COMPLETELY CHERISH AND EXTINGUISH THE WEEKEND SUCCESSFULLY YAY!?

Although I do have to transfer that load of laundry from washer to dryer. Thank you for the reminder.
