Yayay, for using journal
So last weekend I moved into my new dorm for the start of my second year of college. It's all good except the fact that it's ridiculously hot here and all we have is fans. D:
The first week of classes are over and everything went really well. I'm taking 5 classes and 17 credits. They are:
ETS (English Textual Studies): Pop Culture
General Biology w/ Lab
History 101
Personality Psychology
Human Sexuality
Pop Culture is really great and the teacher seems really enthusiastic about the course. (That's one of my biggest sort-of pet peeves. If a teacher isn't into the class what makes them think we are going to be interested in what they're teaching.) It should be cool to see what I learn as the semester goes along. Plus, who doesn't like watching movies and different tv shows for class. :P General Bio is going to be slightly boring for the fact that I kinda already know everything about the class. I took AP Bio my senior year of HS and my teacher said it's going to be exactly like that. Oh well! The teacher's cool and it'll be a semi-easy A....hopefully. History 101 can go die in a fire! Seriously think I'm going to fail that class and I couldn't give two craps about it. Blah! I love, love, love, love psychology so Personality Psych is going to be amazing. I'm really excited about that class and again, the teacher seems really helpful and enthusiastic. And then my favorite class this semester is probably going to be Human Sexuality. I finally met the teacher yesterday and he is so freakin' funny. He had all of us rolling in our seats during class, which I think is good because that gets us over that awkward hump of talking about sex with a bunch of strangers. (Then again, no matter how much he makes us laugh, I'm always going to be that red-faced uncomfortable person in the class. /o\)
And last year, I had a single all to myself but now I'm sharing a room with three other girls. We are very good times! Haha. We're pretty much laughing every night and doing stupid/crazy things and it just makes me smile and makes everything so much better. A lot less drama then I had last year. :D
Then again, it's only been the first week. We'll see what I'm saying in these when it gets down to crunch time and I'm like pulling my hair out to get work done. :/
Other than that stuff, I'm missing my family and can't wait to go home in two weeks. It's going to be my dad's birthday and we're going to have a big party at a Phillies game. It should be a really nice thing to do for a little break from school. :)
Well that's about it for this week. I'm going to try to update everyday, but if not, every week for sure. And as I try to get back to writing, most of it will be drabbles and other crap I do. Yeah, like I said, I'm boring. XD
