both those articles are pretty good but i think the way money can make folks happy is being able to buy status. before status was mostly got through material goods, now its having experiences, travelling to new places etc.

Great article, interesting perspective on money buying experiences rather than material goods.

I think the main point is that money is not an end but a means to an end, depending on what sort of end you want in life.
