Everything has gone fine with Columbia. I got in and took the tests I had to take. The only thing that I am waiting on now is if my mom got the loan that I needed, I'll hear back about that after Christmas ( Read more... )

i'd def. go check out the neighborhood for that place first. if it's by the united center it's not a particularly good neighborhood. it's an "up and coming" area, which is a nice, white-people way of saying they're pushing all the black people out and building condos around there (West Loop/Little Italy). could be alright, but it could very well be a place you're not comfortable walking to from the el in the dark. double check!

What about over above like Alsip? I have heard that Alsip and Blue Island are super bad, but I'm not sure. I haven't spent a lot of time downtown. :/

Yeah, everyone, even the people that work at Columbia told me not to, cause it's really expensive and the buildings are crap.
