I'm evacuating myself from the West Coast and returning for the holiday season to the slightly more paletable Dublin. The doctor has taken my invitation to join me seriously and will be flying into Dublin sometime tomorrow. Joy

West Coast? Oooo, I met the guys that supply all their coffee beans! The power circles that i am moveing in now! LOL

External hard drive wise, I would get one that is powered through the FireWire cable, rather than one that need an extra power cable, it can just be annoying.

Yes found one on the Apple store that seems to tick all the boxs and is firewire too which as you mentioned is much handier. I'm also looking into getting an exteral DVD burner too...play my "arty" movies on the telly....lol.
