What does it mean to really be a true Catholic? I don't think I know what Catholic religion really is. Do they have denominations? If there are, which donominations don't pray to Mary? Do they believe in Jesus as a profit or the son of God? Do they know that he's the savior? Do they know that he's come once or do they believe he hasn't yet? Someone ( Read more... )

Cathothics believe Jesus is the son of God. They don't have denominations. Catholism is a denomination really. We're christians just the same as everyone else. We do pray to Mary but we don't worship her so there's a difference. Jesus is believed to be a profit and the savior. We believe that he's already come. We believe Jesus is the savior and he will come again. Wanna know anything else?

confused, you just said that you believe he's the son and then you said that you believe he's just a profit but still the savior, how does that work and do you believe all of that? Why would you pray to Mary if Jesus clearly stated "there is no way to the Father except though me." I'm confused explain more thoroughly.

praying to someone and worshiping someone are completely different things. So I pray to Mary but I don't worship her. I have heard in our church Jesus called the profit, the savior, and the son of God. In our church he's been called all three of those things.

look, catholics are christians, the prayer said to mary is just saying blessed is the fruit of her whom, and thanking her for giving birth to jesus....everything is basically the same, just a diferent method og worship. How many times will i have to tell you?

When you pray to God your worshiping God because your spending time with him so, no they're really not different. I'm confused about the whole Jesus being Savior, Son, and profit. That's not possible and sure be thankful of Mary for delivering him but she shouldn't be prayed to because she is not Jesus and Jesus specifically stated that no one could get to the Father except through him, not through Mary. He's the son of GOD, not of Mary, I guess Mary was kinda like a surrogate mother, she had him but not for herself. ionno I was just curious.

I dunno how to explain it to you about the Savior, Son, and Profit thingy. I've heard Jesus called all three of them in my church though. Like I said before... there is a difference between worshiping someone and praying to someone. We're praying to Mary and yes she should be prayed to. She's Jesus' Mommy. She is the special. We pray to the other saints too. I have a prayer book thingy I can bring to show and it smells like vannilla

tell me or Brianna? and if your talking about me yeah I'm kind of stupid when it comes to catholism even though I'm supposed to be catholic. I didn't even go to church till like 2 or 3 yrs ago and before that I didn't really know anything about anything so yay. You and almost everyone else know more about it than I do. That's not right.

hu, well you don't have to be Catholic. If you don't believe the same things that your church does then maybe your not Catholic. Why do you think that you're Catholic? Is it because of your Granny or Mom? ionno I g2g
