Meeting old friends you haven't seen in years in Wal*Mart is so awkward

Like, a week ago, or something, I saw a friend from my old middle school. Not the school I hated, but the one I loved. I had no real friends in the one I hated, only an insane acquaintance.

Anyways, my family and I were at the check out in Wal*Mart, waiting in line, when suddenly someone taps my shoulder. I turned my head, looked at my shoulder, slowly turned my head to a shirt, up, to a dark-skinned young man smiling nervously. My jaw dropped, and after a second of amazed silence and jumbled thoughts, I managed a, "HOLY FREAKING CRAP!"

It was Gordan! I was so surprised! He looks so different now, especially without his glasses. After that, it was a little awkward, with neither of us quite knowing what to say and a lot of nervous laughter on my part. He told me he wasn't sure it was me at first, and when he saw the jacket, he was like, "Maybe..."

Even though it was weird, and my aunt later told me that my face turned so red, I'm still happy I got to see him after so long! Man, last time I saw him in person, it was the second to last day of seventh grade. I didn't even get to say a proper goodbye to him so long ago. I didn't know I'd failed math by that school's standards, so I didn't yet know that I wouldn't be seeing him for eighth grade.

Before he left, I shouted, "HUG TIME!" and practically threw myself on him to get in a hug before I'd probably never see him again. C:

Bye, Gordan. I'll miss you.

I don't know if it was a few days before or after than (probably after), but my uncle came over and my little bro, him, and I went bowling together. He got the most points, I was in second, and bro in third in both games.

I made a lucky charm out of my Joker hat. It seems like every time I touched the back of it, I knocked down more pins. Or got a spare or strike. Yay!

Then we went to eat. :( He chose a Barbecue restaurant, and I just told him I wasn't hungry so I didn't have to eat any. But! Inside this particular restaurant, the walls are absolutely covered in graffiti. And by graffiti, I mean named and messages and all kinds of shit! I was looking around as my brother and uncle ate, and you know what I fucking saw!?

An anime club's website written on the wall. As soon as I got home, I went to it, and found out that my city has an anime club! I didn't fucking know that. I joined the website, and sometime soon, plan to go to one of their meetings. They meet, like once or twice a month on Saturdays, above a coffee shop, or something.

Jason and I went to the flea market just the other day, after finishing Starship Troopers. That was a good movie. I hope the sequel doesn't suck.

We wandered through. It seems the Movie Man has permanently left. At another table, Jason bought the movies The Princess Bride and Interview With The Vampire and gave them to me. :( Then we went to the big ass book place, and he bought me Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King. More :(

Back at my house, we watched Interview With The Vampire. I can't really decide if I like the book or the movie more. Probably the book. I loved the ending, though! When Lestat popped up and turned the radio on, and "Sympathy for the Devil" started playing, I laughed my head off.

I started reading Cycle of the Werewolf then, too.

Yesterday and today, I called Jason in the morning and told him I was busy with yard work and shit. He came by yesterday and returned the first Harry Potter book, but I didn't know until a few mintues after he left. I finished Cycle of the Werewolf today and started to re-read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I went to the library, as well, with my list of books to be read. I couldn't find about three-fourths of them, though. =(

Checked out: The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, first book in the Wheel of Time Series.
Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk.
Moby Dick by Herman Melville.

Today, when he came over, he told me he was angry at me. A little while later, he said, "I hate when people prefer to do yard work than spend time with me," which was definitely a less-than-subtle jab at the fact that I have to do yard work a lot (or so I often tell him). And I do have yard work to do. You stupid asshole. It's not like I prefer manual labor to hanging out with my friends, but with you, I think I can make and exception. >:(

The rest of the time, he just babbled at me about Gundam and Gantz. The Gundam shit I didn't mind, cause I have no intention of ever watching the anime, but he could have at least avoided all the fucking spoilers for Gantz, damn it! I want to read that, but I don't want all these spoiler ruining the surprises for me!

When he left, I gave him the second Harry Potter book to read. He didn't take Cycle of the Werewolf like I wanted him too, but oh well.

That's about everything I have to report. Still a little annoyed at him, but whatever.

I'm going to either read Gantz or more of Fahrenheit 451 now. Later, peeps.
