I like the really short scenes; they work very well with the idea of 'Fast Eddie'. And Winry's and Al's emotions in this. And how Ed disregards them anyway. :D

Which part of the third line? I jumbled a lot of ideas together.

"Fast Eddie" - Ed's quick enough to make his escapes after thieving - so the short scenes work very well with that idea.

Winry and Al's emotions - their concern showed through very well.

Ed disregards their concerns and continues thieving. And maybe, if he'd listened, he wouldn't be in the predicament he is at the very end of the story, with Al dead, and blood on his hands from Laurel.
