Title: The Girl Who Wanted To Know Everything
Fandom: The Crow
Word count: 313
Disclaimer: I don't own The Crow.
Warning: Sibling incest
Pairing: Top Dollar/Myca
Prompt: Any, Any, Deal with the Devil
Once upon a time there was a little girl who wanted to know everything, because knowledge is power and she had always been powerless. She tried to read the truth in the stars, but the smog of the city obscured them from her eyes. She tried to read the truth in the entrails of birds, although they were difficult to understand.
She very nearly found out something important, she was sure of it, but then a teacher found her and shouted and put her in detention. Some people are very strange and emotional, she thought.
Daddy laughed when she told him what she had been doing. "You can't learn anything from bird entrails except what's inside a dead bird, you silly girl," he said.
Later, her big brother said, "I can get you more birds, if you want them."
She smiled.
Once upon a time there was a strange, charming man whose shadow distorted when no one was looking. One night, he met the girl who wanted to know everything. She was thirteen.
"Hello," he said. "I hear you want to know everything."
"Where did you hear that?" she asked, because she had never told anyone, not even her brother.
"I know many things," he told her. "So can you."
She waited, silent.
He told her a secret.
Slowly, she nodded.
Not long afterwards, she walked home while a small cut on her palm bled sluggishly. In her other hand, she was holding a human eyeball.
"Where did you get that?" said her brother.
She smiled. "All the power in the world resides in the eyes. Isn't it pretty?"
She looked into his eyes and saw fires, such pretty lights. "Eyes see," she said, and kissed him, and then took his arm and lead him to her bedroom.
"We're going to rule this city," she whispered, no hint of doubt in her voice.

Characters: Jack Frost and his sister
Prompt: Author's choice, author's choice, Lady Midday
"Hello, Jack," says Lady Midday, smiling. She has straight brown hair and big brown eyes and her dress is long, flowing and white.
Jack Frost stares in mute shock, licks his lips and finally manages to whisper, "Polly?"
She is older than he remembers, but he knows his little sister when he sees her.
She reaches out to him, and what can he do but place his hand in hers? It burns him, the heat rising from her skin, but he does not care. "How...?"
"I had children. Twins, and they were so beautiful, but my husband decided that they weren't his." A snarl twists her lips. "He threw us out into the heat of summer midday and we died. It hurt so much, and... my children couldn't even cry, in the end. I wanted so much to protect them but I couldn't. I've been so angry ever since."
"Polly," Jack murmurs, shocked and horrified. He doesn't ask if her husband's suspicions were correct, it doesn't matter. He can feel his own anger stirring, he knows that he would kill that man were he not surely long dead already.
"Help me, Jack. Please."
Lady Midday is a killer. She has been killing indiscriminately with fevers, heatstroke and madness. He is supposed to stop her.
"What do you want?" he asks, intense and worried, hesitating. He knows that he...
"I want to destroy everything," she replies, equally intense, eyes blazing.
He jerks back, his hand, red and aching, slipping away from hers. He stares down at it, biting his lip.
"Please, Jack. I don't want to be alone anymore!"
He knows that he never could refuse her anything.
Title: you shoulda crowned her (she's a goddess)
Fandom: Death Note
Word count: 258
Disclaimer: I don't own Death Note, and the title's from Banks.
Characters: Misa Amane
Prompt: Death Note, Misa Amane, she's a lot more intelligent than people give her credit for
Misa knows that Light does not think highly of her. That's OK, because Light does not think highly of anyone in the whole world that is not himself.
He never seems to notice that she has exactly what she wants. He should. She found him when no one else could. She blackmailed him, she threatened to kill her rivals and she meant it, she offered to kill her friend and she meant it, she has killed two shinigami and who else can say that?
She knew that Rem loved her, but she did not love Rem. She knew that Rem would die for her one day, from the moment she found out how a shinigami dies. She knows a lot of things.
She knows that Light does not mean it when he calls her his goddess, which is funny because she is already the goddess of their new world and he doesn't even notice. He could have killed her the moment Rem crumbled away into dust, but he did not and he will not because Misa is still the girl, the goddess, who plays things just right to get exactly what she wants.
She could destroy everything, if she chose to. She could burn down Kira's kingdom with a few pretty stories in a black notebook. She won't because she loves, but she could.
Light is the bright, glorious, terrible god building heaven on earth. Misa is the goddess of destruction wielding a sword at his back and he is hers whether he loves her yet or not.
