i dunno

im still pretty jaded and disillusioned with the whole system. youtube makes it worse for me, because i get to see candidates pandering and saying stupid things right away.

but maybe im having a bad day.

I don't really think so. We had a whole discussion on deepened democracy in one of my classes, and that's the idea of everyone voting over the internet. People have the ability to watch the videos, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they'll want to watch them.
Also, a lot of the young adults that don't vote, do so because they either don't care, don't see how a candidate can really change anything, or don't prefer a candidate.
Oh, and I don't think they'll really be more informed. I mean, yeah, they'll hear the candidates discuss the topics, but they probably won't know background information or details, just the general idea.

Wow, I'm so negative.
Of course, I could be wrong. There's still the possibility it'll spark interest in a bunch of people, but, clearly, I'm doubtful.
