I love this take on things - it's one of the best Reichenbach's I've read - and I've been reading a LOT over the last few days! This one fits with John, patient, caring, soldiering-on John.

I loved his Sherlock-y moment with Megan. Lestrade, workaholic or no, deserves better.

I loved what John did to occupy himself. Caring for the homeless was so touching and brilliant.

This reminds me of my own friend's death, the amazing stories I learned from total strangers at his funeral, people I didn't even know, yet whose lives had been touched by him. Thank you for that wonderful memory and bringing that bittersweet notion to this fic.
