So the process of ordination is a long one in my denomination, one that for me started over six years ago.  Yesterday, after months of paper work, examinations, interviews, etc I went before the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry for a very special interview.  After reviewing all of my work and meeting with me for 90 minutes four members of the ( Read more... )

Congratulations! Sorry, meant to call you, as Mom & Dad reminded me that was coming up. Seems like March just suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

Congrats, future Super-Pastor! (Super-Priest sounds better, but that's Catholicism. Or do you have priests too? Too many sex sects!)

I'm currently a "pastor" because I have a flock. I'm also currently a "priest" because I officiate over the administering of the sacraments and the orders of the church. I will soon be a "reverend" because I will be ordained by the Bishop through the laying on of hands signifying the passing of the Apostolic ministry to which I am being commissioned into. And then I guess in 2 years I have the chance to become a "Super-Reverend" and if I got a PHD or DMIN I could be a "Super-Reverend-Doctor."

It is in fact more confusing then it should be.

...I never realized it was that confusing. Then again, I should have, because they have SO MANY TITLES. Pastor, priest, deacon, minister, etc... You could even be a primate!

Well I'll get a feat and a special ability at this level, plus a wisdom modifier. Then in two years I'll be able to take a Paragon Class, so that will be nice.

Please, please, please let it be Exorcisms! I want to hear about Exorcisms! Then I want to see the cell phone pics you snap of Legion when he's not looking! Then I want to be invited to one! Then I will probably NEED one!

maybe that can be my continuing education next year, learning how to exorcise demons. i mean i understand the basic concept, and in a pinch i think i could do it, but if i knew some cool Latin chants that would help.

Of course I never understood why demons hated Latin so much.

Have you ever studied Latin? If so, the answer should be obvious :)

Latin class is particularly grueling in demon high school. Exorcisms in French are next best, with about 80% effectiveness.
