My dad was riding home from the gas station on his bike, and had to brake through a curve covered in sugar sand. Needless to say the bike kept going, laid on his left ankle, and he slid into a retention wall with his right, breaking both ankles, and dislocating all five metatarsals in his right foot. Hey, I meant to ask if there was any addresses where I could send him a card or something. And you can let your Mom know that if she needs help keeping up with house stuff since she's not there a lot, that I'd be happy to come over and clean or do laundry or help her do it if she just wants some company. You know, helpful stuff. :)
