Is there an upside???

If someone is going to make a habit of consuming isopropanol the gene pool may be better off without them in it. Seriously.

Pshaw, obviously the upside is that you're getting drunk!

Seriously though, a person has to be pretty desperate to be getting drunk off of hand cleaner. I mean even hobos find some way to acquire malt liquor. I guess then you're left with teenagers with highly addictive personalities, which is a demographic with a strong tendency to somehow Darwin themselves, regardless of the availability of hand cleaner.
