Ahh, ramen

Wow that place's ramen is good... even if a bowl of miso ramen and the little free side of rice costs 750 yen, twice what I normally pay for lunch, I couldn't help myself. I will officially never be able to eat ramen in America ever again. Or so I say (instant ramen over here is considerably more expensive than it is in America, strangely enough

if there is one thing in Japan that really, really needs to die, it's those trucks that go around with the loudspeaker ads going.

If you want cheap, easy, deliciousness and you're near the Ikebukoro station, go to the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space about a block west of the west exit. There's a little onigiri shop inside there with the most awesome onigiri ever for the regular awesome onigiri price. 100-odd yen and perhaps the best thing I've eaten in Japan.
