I interviewed with them last year. It's an intense program, and I was really, really glad I didn't end up getting it. It's a lot more time consuming and taxing sounding then I'd realized when I had first signed up to apply.
It's certainly a good program, and worth doing if it's something you can be committed to, but I can't reiterate how glad I am that I wasn't selected.
One thing you should probably be aware of is that, unless you do a science or math immersion program, they want you to teach either elementary or the subject you have a degree in, which might be an issue for you. If I even apply, it will be next year, because I'm worried about money. I've gotten in touch with some people who went through the program, everything from it was too hard to it was intense but rewarding.
well, first and foremost, you finally posted. secondly, i used to want to be a teacher....at one point in my life i was a secondary music education major. i think anyone that becomes a teacher (for the right reasons of course....money would be a bad reason, unless you're wanting to be a college professor, like your current aspirations) is a wonderful. i don't know you, but i think you should go for it.
