Dear Leif,
An old woman made up of ovals hunched over a shopping cart at QFC yesterday. Round head a sagging oval ensconced with a cellophane sheet, wrapped again in a kerchief. Eyes like saucers. I saw as she put one foot in front of the other, shakily pushing her cart toward the U-Scan. Mouth hanging open, permanent surprise.

Have you seen the crazy woman around Everett? She wears a hat to cover the hair that is woven together with dirt that it's thick enough to BE a hat. Very old black woman. Roams the streets from QFC on Broadway up to the QFC on Evergreen. She is my favourite. Aside from "Letoto is an assassin" protest woman.
I have spent the last two days reading Amnisty International Documents. I've decided whatever your age is, the world can be a very sad place.
To perk myself up, I memorized all the countries in Africa, and their location. By friday, I hope to have their topographical information as well.
Ohhh, what a sad life I'm leading...

[Don't try putting it through a translator, because the French have funny grammar and some words have multiple meanings, so : Thank-you, Leif, I liked reading Conor's letter, even though it was written in January. Please tell him that I hope that the weather is pleasant over there, because Paris must be beautiful in the spring.]
