It’s not often the bear growls. But I learned something today that made me angry. It appears that some of the n900s being sold by Vodaphone are carrying a branded, locked and otherwise knobbled version of the wonderful, open, free maemo firmware. Amazon finally conceded that they won’t be able to ship the n900 on the date they were claiming. I rang them on Thursday, because I so doubted their claim, but they were adamant. Then on Thursday evening, their website changed, so you can no longer find the n900. And today they sent out an email, setting a December dispatch. I hope the website ( Read more... )
