WOW, I love this story!!!

The beginning is just heartbreaking, and it really makes me furious on Neal's behalf. What kind of fucked-up society allows to haggle with its children like this?!

I also love Sara in this and how complicated the situation is for both of them. I really want them to find some happiness; more than that, I want this regime overthrown and things going back to normal, not just for Neal but for everyone.

Wonderful chapter; I'm on the edge of my seat here anxious for an update. Really loving this so far :)

You know, when I first got this idea, I really wasn't thinking about society or making a statement. Or making it so horrible for him. *pets Neal* It was all about meeting Sara. It just grew into a monster of a plotline. Oops. :D

I'm so, SO glad that you continue to like it though! As much as it IS about N/S, I had to explore his backstory and how he felt about breeding. But I had the most fun writing N/S, especially their first date.

I know! *hugs Neal* It is a very happy/sad fic with the two timelines. But I think we'd rather have the happy AND the sad vs whole chapters with just sad.
