Admittedly, a lot of your friends are assholes.

But yes, you're right. There are too many unreasonable, angry, argumentative people out there. Who has the time and energy to waste on that anymore? That's the realm of the young and naive.

I just have better things to do with my time.

With politics, I do think it's a little more than tribalism... but yeah, after a while you realize that banging your head on the wall is only really effective at giving yourself a headache.
