Sourdough Attempt The First

So I made some bread today! The recipe indicated that it'd take up to fourteen hours for the first rise, and our sourdough culture laughed in the face of that estimate. Success! Mostly!

That's not bad for a first attempt. If it looks and tastes like bread you have a winner, lol. When are you going to try again? I've never done a sourdough.

I want to give the sourdough culture time to develop more flavor before I try a straight-up bread again, since this was basically white bread and I'm not a big fan of that. I might give something like these muffins a shot sooner, though. And maybe I'll do some honey wheat or something a little more flavorful sometime soon, too.
