[The City So Far || Things of Note || Offline]

Five deities, two have spoken, both to make demands or decrees - "100 bottles of beer" and "cup of sugar from your enemy". The former, upon asked, seemed to answer in a teasing manner and not openly. Conclusion: they don't even try to hide that they are playing with us.
They seem very secure in their position; so far, no way to weaken it has presented itself. Note to self: visit deity office? (Pointless? Too risky?)
Decrees seem unprecedented or at least not part of the regular City "schedule", which seems to be given a certain regularity by curses and an influx of new arrivals around every two weeks.

City is shaped circular; like a clock showing twelve hours, the buildings are the numbers. In the middle, somewhere in the underground and hard to reach, the clock that causes the ticking. Said to be counting down to the end of all worlds. Note: why?
On the same spot overground: a so-called carousel, perpetually spinning. Note: meaning? A reminder?
Surrounded by a forest, then a beach and an ocean without any other land in sight. Also shielded by barriers on all sides, the sky as well as the underground. Contact with barriers may have physical repercussions.
Monsters inhabit underground. Also housing several seedy bars.
Fountain shows images from one's homeworld. Saw nothing that would help me in any way yet. Just heartache.

Been affected by two curses so far. One physical, one mental. The first was a positive experience, the second negative.

People have powers that would be deemed supernatural by my world's standards - among them super strength and speed, flight, being a highly dangerous bomb... err. Being a person made out of metal and wires.

Time is strange. It doesn't run in a straight line - it's more like all times run parallel to each other, as the worlds do. Thus, if it is calculated correctly, I am now two hundred years in the future.

There's a myriad of unkown things to learn.

Now, if only we could find out what kind of power holds the barriers together - if there's any match for them at all in the City. With the uncountable possibilties out there, something like that should, by all means, exist. If not, that would mean the deities can completely bend any reality. And you say that now?

That's it for now. I think.

[/Things of Note]

So, hm. I'd like to apologize for my behaviour on the last curse day - quite cursed out of my mind, wasn't I? I swear, it exaggerrated things quite a bit. I mean - not that it doesn't hurt, but... not so much, now. Not as much as even half a year ago.

My second curse, and already I seem to be getting used to it, however much one can get used to something like that. I'm feeling like I'm quickly adopting this "oh yeah, it's a curse" kind of attitude. Not good, not good at all. I mean... it should be unsettling. It is unsettling. We're being played like bunraku puppets.

Regardless - everyone, thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them very much. Ryōga-san, Youko-san, thank you for keeping me company.

Now... a cup of sugar from thy enemy, was it? Well, pardon me, but... I really kind of fail to see the sense in these demands, and, judging from the network, I'm not the only one. What's next, pointless violence? So, I don't have an enemy in the City, thank the Gods for it. I have one at home, but that's where he is, and I'm glad for it too. He's about the last thing I want to deal with right now.

Ah, well - fortunately, that matter is taken care of. But if "pointless violence" comes true, I'm not going there.

Lastly, uh... who was it that said they'd train with me? Ryōga-san?
