The Duality of My Pattern-Drafting Class (aka I Forgot How Much I Hate All Beauty Industries)

I started my pattern-drafting class last week. I've been wanting to learn more about it for awhile now, since I knew there were many gaps in what I had taught myself just from reading. I do a lot of alterations work on the side, and it's a great way to make clothing fit a person, if they can afford it. It's just so expensive now to get anything tailored...and it nowadays it's quantity over quality anyways. People have closets full of cheap, disposable clothing, and who is going to bother to take a $20 dress from Forever 21 to the tailors if they're only going to wear it a few times, you know? Maybe we should all just go back to wearing togas, haha.
